Peppermint looks to descend a vertical garden

It’s not just rooves which can be made green. Many new buildings are being designed with green walls already part of their infrastructure. The benefits of green walls also called vertical gardens, are similar to those of green rooves. Unlike green rooves however, green walls provide most of the benefits at our level (though shed rooves are not far off). As well as taking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere closer to where we breathe they are also more visible as we go through our day than green/ garden rooves. Standing in a roof garden is far easier than standing in a vertical one though.
