December definition

If we conserve a habitat as a whole we also conserve individuals of a species. If there is not enough food individuals will leave or not survive. Pandas for example rely on bamboo forests there is little point protecting the panda when their food and habitat is being destroyed.

 It took a long time to get where humans and our known species are today. Many triumphs and failures brought about humans, big cats, pet dogs, amphibians and birds but here they are. All we need to do now is stop them going extinct unnecessarily.
